Below is a video of Gil Boyne hypnotizing a fellow. Gil was consider the Hypnotist to the Stars having worked with Sylvestor Stallone and others. Take a look. This is called an instant induction.

Here is the same procedure not working instantly. However Gil keeps with it and did eventually have him reach a light level of hypnosis. This fellow just wasn't following directions. Sometimes a person is nervous or believes it is a contest of wills. Notice during the arm levitation process that this fellows eyes are open but obviously he is focussed inward.

I met Gil Boyne in 1977, my first year in business, at a hypnosis conference in Atlantic City, New Jersey. I have enjoyed and benefited from his training in person as well as books and videos. Gil passed on May 5, 2010 at the age of 85. He continued to teach and present hypnosis, his passion, up to the very end of his life.
